Job description

Building Construction Contractors is a fast paced, growing commerical construction company based in Hebron, CT. We specialize in interior renovations for corporate office spaces and smaller commercial service projects, with the majority of our work located in Hartford and surrounding areas. We self perform a majority of work and are seeking a skilled carpenter foreman with 10 plus years of experience to join our team. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage resources, ensure quality control and maintain safety standards on the job site. It also requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with other trades people. Only those with commercial construction experience need apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
-Performs a wide range of tasks including but not limited to demolition, sitework, concrete, masonry, carpentry, finish carpentry, doors,           frames, hardware, drywall (framing, hanging, taping)
  -Oversee day-to-day operations on commercial/industrial job sites, maintain schedules, manage materials and keep job sites organized
  -Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications
  -Read and interpret blueprints
  -Implement OSHA safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
  -Train and mentor team members in best practices for carpentry and site management

QUALIFICATIONS:
 -
Proven experience in construction management with a focus on commercial/industrial carpentry projects
-Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
-In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices on construction sites
-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
-Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues   
-Must have valid drivers license with a clean driving record
-Must pass background check prior to employment                                                                                                                                                              -A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship while ensuring timely project completion.
Pay starts at $38. per hour and goes up depending on experience, reliability and overall performance/attitude
