Job description

About this Role:
As a CBRE Telecomm & Technology Operations Technician, you will play a key role in supporting critical technology infrastructure within a corporate office environment. In this role, you'll handle complex hardware installations and upgrades, as well as perform testing and troubleshooting of components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
This position is part of the Critical and Technical Services team, which delivers essential technical maintenance and support in high-demand client environments. Beyond day-to-day operations, you will also provide IT and Telecomm Project Management for a variety of initiatives, including small, medium, and large-scale rollouts tied to corporate real estate construction projects. These projects may include complete site or floor buildouts, branch remodels, corporate office expansions, and office relocations.

Shift: M-F 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
What You'll Do:
Coordinate and oversee hardware and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling) including troubleshooting and testing.
Performs remote hands support (e.g. power cycles, physical environment and cabling inspections, swap out failed components, hardware upgrades, IoT sensor troubleshooting and triage, testing of copper and fiber cables, handling storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands).
Manages projects small to medium sized projects - Space planning, power requirements, cabling requirements, support for IT projects.
Meticulously document all deployed devices, including serial numbers, MAC addresses, physical locations, network configurations, and installation dates in the asset management system (CMDB).
Prepare incoming and outgoing shipments. Compare packing lists with purchase details to ensure accurate make, model, and quantities are received and processed.
Support Service Management and related processes by creating and updating assigned tickets. Assist with the physical access processes to ensure white spaces / comms spaces are secure
Assist with physical audits and enter findings into infrastructure management systems
Provide assistance during Power Maintenance Events.
What You'll Need:
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders,
and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• General knowledge of infrastructure, related components and respective testing methods.
• General knowledge of electrical distribution, power consumption, and standard testing methods.
• Basic understanding of Voice/Data equipment heat dissipation, containment, and air flow standards.
• Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages
