We are looking for Network Cabling Technician in Annapolis, MD for 2+ years contract position.

Position: Network Cabling Technician with BICSI certification

Location- Annapolis, MD

Duration- 2 year + 3 year renewal option



The positions will serve as expert advisors and technical specifications coordinators for various remote site activities including

Installations

Site surveys

Identifying site requirements

Vendor scheduling

Site contact reviews

Follow up coordination for installation of /site wide infrastructure related activities (equipment, cabling, power, HVAC, telecommunication circuits, etc.)

Engaging resources to include management, project managers and service vendors for project assignments

Responsible for remote site activities

Acting as the single point of contact for project vendors/providers Plans and coordinates activity scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks




Qualifications

Expertise Requirements


At least 8 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years of experience in the cabling/telecommunications industry successfully installing, testing, and troubleshooting cabling systems and associated infrastructure components


Ability to analyze, interpret blueprints, site plans, drawings and other documentation to prepare SOW, SOO, PWO and other formats


Budget and estimate material and labor required


Experience with copper, fiber-optic and coaxial applications and knowledge of EIA/TIA and industry design criteria and installation standards


Knowledge of structured cabling and wiring methods such as building conduit and riser cabling, conduit system installation including manholes and hand holes


Experience in distribution facilities, networking, data center, wireless and antenna systems infrastructure design and installation


Ability to evaluate technical and financial proposals with detailed reports and recommendations


Extensive experience with coordinating both small and large- scale cabling and telecommunications projects


A background in fundamental voice, video, data, wireless network technologies (e.g., LAN/WAN, Wireless, VoIP, Physical security, Video


conferencing)


Hands on experience with large network rollout deployment activities is required


Ability to travel throughout Maryland as required. Depending upon project requirements, travel may be frequent and must be able to work flexible


schedule to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays


Must provide own transportation and valid MD driver's license is required.


Experience with related tools such as Fluke


BISCI RCDD certification a plus


Networking certification is a plus
