Job description

Responsibilities
  • Owns and drives the commercial-related activities for the North American Rail, passenger, and freight Rail market segment.
  • Provides commercial CTQ’s for New Product Introductions with extensive voice of the customer.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to enable profitable, double‑digit sales growth.
  • Supports the sales team in developing appropriate sales channels and account strategies
  • Identifies market and competitive trends and provides extensive VOC to develop successful business strategies
  • Develop specific selling strategies to assist the extended sales team in maintaining and winning new business
  • Tracks and benchmarks global competitors‑ technology, product portfolio, pricing, and marketing/sales strategies
  • Establish and maintain relationships and leverage with each key customer (existing and new)
  • Sits on industry‑related committees
  • Leads the execution of marketing tactics, including trade shows, customer seminars, white papers, web content, customer presentations, customer proposals, digital content, and marketing communications.
  • Key metrics: Order/Sales growth, New Product Development, customer retention, and marketing spend
  • Provide overall market strategy for linking customers’ vision with Hutchinson's global technology.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience within the North American US Rail market segment preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales, marketing, or product management for heavy shock, vibration, and isolation components.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong leadership traits and business acumen include the power to influence & command respect.
  • Ability to make quick, difficult decisions.
  • Interaction with executive leadership, international cultures, and global customers.
  • Ability to influence and identify key customer stakeholders
  • Command technical respect and drive results among internal and external engineering communities.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Some international travel is required.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required.
