Job description
Ameren Illinois provides electric transmission and distribution service and natural gas distribution service. Every day, we deliver electricity to 1.2 million electric and 816,000 natural gas customers in central and southern Illinois. We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities.
Experience:
A minimum 5 years commercial building maintenance performing general maintenance on building systems and equipment. Position requires knowledge, experience and training in electrical, HVAC, pneumatic controls, plumbing and building construction fields. Knowledge and/or training in Industrial Healthy & Safety. Must have experience working on electrical systems and equipment up to 600 volts and troubleshooting low voltage lighting controls, replace relays, switches, etc. Position requires the ability to perform basic plumbing repairs.
Requirements:
Successful candidate must have a working knowledge of the operation of boilers, chiller, cooling towers and air handling units and be able to visually identify problems through controls and instrument gauges as well as performing routine preventative maintenance and repair. Required to understand/reset heaters on starters and have knowledge of proper lubrication procedures and belt maintenance.
Other: Must possess a valid Illinois class D drivers license. Successful candidate is required to become a member of IBEW Local 51. Reporting location is at Ameren Operating Center, 370 S. Main, Decatur, Illinois. Normal hours are 7am to 3:30pm. Overtime may be necessary on an as needed basis.
Hourly Pay:
Grade Step BC 050 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 45.25 USD
