You'll work independently in the field while partnering with customers, facility managers, and the Godby support team to keep HVAC systems operating safely and efficiently.This position is focused on light to medium commercial HVAC equipment and provides exposure to a variety of systems while allowing experienced technicians to continue developing their commercial service skills.What You'll DoDiagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, package units, split systems, VAV systems, exhaust systems, and other light to medium commercial heating and cooling equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, system inspections, equipment startups, operational testing, and service work to maximize system performance and reliability.Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, controls, and mechanical issues using wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Document completed work electronically, communicate findings and recommendations with customers, and maintain a clean, organized service vehicle while representing Godby Heating Plumbing Electrical professionally.As your experience grows, you'll also have opportunities to expand your knowledge of commercial controls, building automation, and other commercial HVAC technologies.What We're Looking ForWe're seeking experienced commercial HVAC professionals with at least two years of commercial service experience. Candidates should have strong diagnostic abilities and a solid understanding of light to medium commercial HVAC equipment, electrical controls, airflow, and mechanical systems.Successful candidates are dependable, safety-minded, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple service calls. The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation is essential.A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. EPA Certification is preferred.
