Job description

Bauerโ€™s Intelligent Transportation is looking for an experienced claims professional to take ownership of commercial vehicle claims from initial incident through investigation, negotiation, settlement, litigation support, subrogation and final resolution.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with outside counsel, insurance carriers, brokers, safety and operations teams.

What Youโ€™ll Accomplish

  • Reduce overall claim costs and accelerate claim resolution.
  • Investigate accidents, determine liability, and preserve critical evidence.
  • Negotiate settlements and identify opportunities for early resolution.
  • Aggressively pursue subrogation and third-party recoveries.
  • Manage litigated claims and coordinate with outside counsel.
  • Reduce aged open claims and unnecessary legal expenses.
  • Provide the CEO with clear reporting on claims, reserves, exposure, litigation, and recoveries.
  • Identify claim trends and recommend ways to reduce future losses.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • 5+ years in insurance claims, litigation support, paralegal work, or risk management.
  • Strong commercial auto or transportation claims experience preferred.
  • Experience with bodily injury, property damage, settlement negotiation, and subrogation.
  • Strong investigator, negotiator, and communicator who can independently manage a significant caseload.
