Job description

Standard Job Description What We're Doing Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.

The Work In this role, you will be involved in the process as the project starts with the development and matures through testing to deploying to operations. The Verification Test Lead will execute test tasks in accordance with program processes, supporting resource planning, aiding the Engineering Review Boards as appropriate, as well as supporting Task Order and customer reviews, metrics collection and analysis. Duties and tasks include: - Engaging the C2BMC (Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications) system for the purpose of technical support to Agile Product Teams and I&T functional area to conduct hardware, software, and system level verification and validation testing.

- Defining the Overarching Test Strategy for Capabilities across the Program - Defining Risk Mitigation and providing Status of Risks - Presenting Verification Plan at Program Milestone Reviews - Presenting the Verification Status and Metrics to C2BMC and BC Leadership - Representing C2BMC NT in Test Working Groups to help define testing of capabilities across the C2BMC Program - Presenting C2BMC Program with Verification requirements for Iteration Planning - Responsible for verification inputs into proposal and Engineering Estimate activities - Scheduling lab test and installation activities, coordinating with BMDSS (Ballistic Missile Defense Support Systems), Test Bed Contractor, Test Bed Lab Manager, and MDA BCX and the C2BMC NT Integration Team on spiral release installation and integration schedules in the test labs. - Reviewing and providing technical feedback to Detailed Test and Analysis Procedures Please Note: -This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration

Basic Qualifications - A final secret clearance is required for consideration - Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with hardware and software verification and validation processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis.

- Able to manage multiple projects across multiple teams. - Working knowledge on a program dealing with customer deliverables - Formal or informal team leadership experience including coaching and giving performance feedback. Desired Skills -Knowledge of the integration and testing of Command & Control systems with applied relevance to basic architectures utilized in the BMDS environment and focused for C2BMC to include external C2BMC element interfaces.

- Able to assist test engineers with technical troubleshooting and analysis of test-bed configurations for hardware, software, stimulus, and Information Assurance issues or functionality. - Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple personnel into technical report for customer and present information in public forum and field applicable questions - Prior C2BMC experience is highly desirable - Experience in Agile Test-Driven Development - Knowledge of the integration and testing of Command & Control systems with applied relevance to basic architectures utilized in the BMDS environment and focused for C2BMC to include external C2BMC element interfaces - Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management - Experience with DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, experience with test automation tools such as Gherkin and Cucumber - Knowledge of basic message formats such as TADIL-J, HTML, ATOMS. - Technical understanding of computer network systems, servers, VM, Multicast techniques, including hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches, Blade servers, etc.

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
