About this position

VeeFriends is a contemporary entertainment company that combines art, storytelling, collecting, events, and innovative technologies to build a community around a movement of kindness and positivity. These characters foster community and inspire creativity, self-discovery, accountability, and personal growth.

Composed of characters hand-drawn initially and brought to life by Gary Vaynerchuk, there are 283 VeeFriends, all of whom Gary imagined, created, and drew himself. Each character represents traits and qualities Gary admires and hopes to inspire in others.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and imaginative Senior Designer to join our Creative and Brand team. The Senior Designer will work closely with the Comic Director and Creative team to evolve the Veefriends brand and shape how it will visually manifest across various touchpoints, including marketing campaigns, commerce initiatives, and social media.

This position requires a seasoned creative leader with solid project management skills. You will collaborate closely with our Creative Director on bringing our comic books to life, collaborate with others to refine and advance our existing design language, effectively implementing it across various projects, products, and platforms while optimizing workflows and processes. Additionally, you will design independently and actively contribute to producing different creative assets.

Who You Are:

  • Youโ€™re a creative thinker and visual storyteller with a strong background in brand-building across social content and merchandise. You believe great design starts with strategy and have experience creating clear, compelling visuals across platforms.
  • You bring a strong understanding of branding and design, with a proven ability to evolve and shape a brandโ€™s visual identity. Youโ€™re multidisciplinary and comfortable giving feedback on all types of creativeโ€”whether itโ€™s image, video, or copy.
  • You excel in orchestrating type, color, and composition. You can guide the development of an ownable iconography, illustration, and imagery style for the brand to be utilized across print, digital, and video/motion assets.
  • Whether itโ€™s product, experiential, digital assets, or a deck presentation, youโ€™re equipped to tackle any design task or challenge with clarity, creativity, and speed.
  • You understand the speed and volume of content needed for social, and how each platform demands different design choices. You know how to make content perform by adjusting layout, tone, and treatment across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
  • You love speed, thrive on juggling multiple projects, and enjoy leading teams from concept to execution.
  • You stay inspired, keep up with design trends, and push ideas forward with cultural awareness and creativity.
  • Experience with digital product design is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Creative Director to evolve and maintain the brandโ€™s visual languageโ€”imagery, illustration, iconography, patterns, and graphicsโ€”building on and refining existing brand guidelines.
  • Execute and manage comic book production.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strong visual concepts for social, digital, experiential, and marketing campaigns, ensuring ideas translate effectively across formats and channels.
  • Lead creative development and production for merchandise and related campaigns, ensuring each concept scales cohesively across digital, print, video (live-action and animation), and real-world experiences.

The pay range for this role is:
100,000 - 100,000 USD per year(US)
