Job Description
Position: CoMET Project Manager
Location: Austin Texas
Mission/ Position Description Summary
The mission of the Project Manager for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to assure client satisfaction through client interaction and preparation of quality reports that address the specific project requirements within the project schedule, budget and design constraints. Support other project managers or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines.
This includes responsibility for:
  1. Manage projects meeting HVJ SCTX financial goals and quality standards
  2. Field and Planning Lab Assignments
  3. Provide Project Deliverables on Schedule and Within Budget
  4. Develop Proposal for Future Work
  5. Provide client satisfaction
  6. Guide and mentor junior staff
  7. Team Building
  8. Assist the Department Manager with general management responsibilities
  9. Assist with Business Development

Additional Expectations
  • Track project expenses to ensure actual work is performed within budget
  • Invoice projects following client requirements and HVJ SCTX Schedule
  • Review all reports prior to submittal to the client for completeness and accuracy

Key Criteria/Requirements
  • MSCE or BSCE with 5+ years of directly related experience. Experience with projects in Public Sector such as TxDOT, Municipalities, Water Authorities is a plus.
  • Required Texas PE license . Excellent written and communication skills and strong knowledge of construction materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft environment.
  • Valid Texas Driver License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses and valid right to work documents.
