Camera Operator:

Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, IL, is seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented, and hardworking Camera Operator to join its creative team.


What Youโ€™ll Do

ยท Work directly with Weigelโ€™s Director, Production and Creative Team to produce high quality videography while recording show related elements

ยท Assist and fill in for various roles on the Production Team during tapings including handheld camera, audio, floor direction and teleprompter

ยท Provide support for field shoots and daily production needs

ยท Communicate effectively across departments

ยท Perform additional duties, as assigned


What Youโ€™ll Bring

ยท 2โ€“3 years of experience in broadcast, digital, or cable, in a video production-oriented role as a videographer

ยท Hands-on experience with Sony PTZ, ENG-style cameras, and Steadicam preferred

ยท Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities

ยท Proactive, reliable, and technically proficient

ยท Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

ยท Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs

Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
