Fiber Network Services is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic cable network services. With Master Construction Agreements with Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Crown Castle, Segra, Suddenlink, Windstream, RCN and others in the State of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and in Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via fiber optic and Coaxial systems.
We are currently seeking a Coax Splicer Trainee for our Ocala, FL location, who is interested in starting a career in the growing communications industry. No prior experience is necessary—we will train you! This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn a valuable trade, work in a hands-on environment, and grow with a company that supports your development.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to:
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of coaxial cable systems
  • Work at heights, including on ladders or utility poles
  • Respond to emergency service calls when needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment responsibly
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including for emergency assignments
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Clean driving record required
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn a skilled trade
