Job description

Role: Combo Welder

Location: Lompoc, CA

Employment Type: W2 Contract, long term rolling

Compensation: $40/hour  + $150 daily per diem if traveling in

Hours/Shift: 50 hours/week - Day Shift

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of pipe welding experience (5+ preferred)
  • Strong GTAW (TIG) pipe welding experience
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Ability to read blueprints and isometric drawings
  • Experience performing fit-up
  • Ability to passweld qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Weld carbon and stainless steel process piping
  • Perform GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding as required
  • Support structural steel welding when needed
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
  • Perform fit-up and fabrication
  • Maintain weld quality to applicable codes
  • Support launch infrastructure construction projects
  • Inspect work for quality before turnover
