A Combi Forklift job involves operating a Combilift, a specialized multi-directional forklift designed for handling long and bulky loads in confined spaces. Operators are responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials safely and efficiently. The role often requires knowledge of forklift safety procedures, proper load handling, and equipment maintenance. These jobs are commonly found in industries like warehousing, construction, and manufacturing. Operators may also need certification depending on local regulations.

What does a combi forklift operator do?

A typical day for a Combi Forklift operator involves inspecting equipment, safely maneuvering multi-directional forklifts to move long or awkward loads, and assisting with inventory organization to maximize warehouse space. Operators frequently coordinate with warehouse staff, shipping teams, and supervisors to ensure products are stored and retrieved efficiently. The role can include unloading trucks, maintaining accurate records, and performing routine safety checks on machinery. Work environments are usually busy, requiring constant attention to safety regulations and communication with coworkers. As you gain experience, there may be opportunities to move into lead operator or supervisory roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the combi forklift position?

To thrive as a Combi Forklift operator, you need strong spatial awareness, manual dexterity, and a valid forklift certification, often with experience operating multi-directional forklifts.
