Role Overview:

Mercuria Energy Americas is seeking an experienced Senior Natural Gas Scheduler to join our growing North American natural gas trading team. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily pipeline scheduling, managing gas flows across multiple systems, and supporting trading and logistics operations across the East Region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily natural gas scheduling and nominations on major interstate and intrastate pipelines in the East Region.
  • Monitor gas flow activity, resolve imbalances and scheduling issues, and ensure all activity aligns with company trading strategies.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with pipeline representatives and counterparties for scheduling and flow coordination.
  • Support traders by providing accurate, timely market and pipeline information.
  • Manage capacity releases, park and loan transactions, and other pipeline operational requests.
  • Ensure compliance with all FERC and pipeline regulations, internal policies, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with accounting and settlements teams to reconcile volumes and allocations.

  • TCO (Columbia Gas Transmission)
  • TGP (Tennessee Gas Pipeline)
  • GSPL (Gulf South Pipeline)
  • TETCO (Texas Eastern Transmission)
  • Transco (Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Energy, Economics, or related field).
  • Minimum 5+ years of natural gas scheduling experience in the East Region.
  • Deep understanding of pipeline operations and natural gas logistics.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work in fast-paced trading environment.
  • Experience with pipeline EBBs and scheduling software systems.
