Job description

Colorado Academy seeks a part-time (2 sections, .4 FTE) Spanish teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year only. The position begins August 4, 2026 and runs through the first week of June 2027.

Candidates should have experience, training, and/or a demonstrated interest in teaching Spanish in a student-centered classroom at the secondary school level. Candidates should be able to independently develop and implement curriculum as well as work on a team with other teachers.

Candidates should be eager to join a professional community where collaboration is valued and where openness to growth is the norm. Additionally, candidates will be expected to share in the day-to-day life of the school community. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated intercultural competence, which we define as the ability to understand and bridge diverse perspectives, identities, and lived experiences, is a must.

All teachers at CA are expected to carry out the CA Mission, "Creating Curious, Kind, Courageous, and Adventurous Learners and Leaders," to support the vision of the Upper School, and to contribute to the life of the school outside of the classroom.

This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications required for the position. Colorado Academy reserves the right to modify or revise this job description at any time.

The pay for this position is prorated for actual time worked based on a full-time equivalent salary ranging from $64,900 - $116,900. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender, or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience. Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance benefit programs are available, as is a 403(b) retirement plan. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document.

Applicants are invited to visit the Colorado Academy website (www.coloradoacademy.org) to learn more about the program and the school.
