As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Healthcare Response in Nashville, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

How This Role Works:
  • Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements, providing directions and assistance as needed.
  • Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
