Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
  • Conduct regular patrols
  • Monitor activities
  • Surveillance
  • Access Control
  • Safety escorts
  • Using provided communication devices
  • Represent SSNW’s brand
  • Properly wear the issued uniform
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
  • Complete Incident Reports
  • Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
  • Other duties as described in the Post Orders

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Current Utah State Security Guard License
  • EMT Background is a plus
  • Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Honesty and Integrity
  • Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Reserve police officers encouraged to apply
  • Valid driver's license with insurable record
  • Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
  • Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
