Position Summary

ย 
The Collision Estimator plays a critical role in the OEM-certified collision center by accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing detailed repair estimates, and guiding customers through the repair process. This position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with technicians, insurance partners, and parts departments. The Collision Estimator ensures all repairs align with OEM standards and supports the collision centerโ€™s commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.ย 


Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections to assess collision damage and determine necessary repairs.
  • Prepare accurate, itemized repair estimates using approved estimating software (CCC, Mitchell, Audatex).ย 
  • Ensure all repair plans comply with OEM repair procedures and certification requirements.ย 
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding damage findings, repair timelines, and insurance processes.ย 
  • Serve as a liaison with insurance adjusters to coordinate approvals and supplemental estimates.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to confirm parts availability, accuracy, and delivery timelines.
  • Review repair progress regularly with technicians to ensure alignment with the estimate and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all repairs, supplements, and customer communications.ย 
  • Provide exceptional customer service from vehicle drop-off through delivery.ย 
  • All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualificationsย 

  • Experience as a collision estimator or in a related collision repair or automotive service role.
  • Strong understanding of collision repair processes, OEM procedures, and structural repair requirements.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (CCC, Mitchell, Audatex).ย 
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer files at once.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving recordย required.ย
