Job description

Apex Automotive Collision Group is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Collision Repair Technician to join our growing collision repair team.

We are looking for a dependable technician who can independently perform light to moderate collision repairs while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with vehicle disassembly and reassembly, body panel repair and replacement, welding, panel alignment, and following OEM repair procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who already has solid collision repair experience and wants to continue developing their skills in a professional, well-equipped, OEM-focused collision repair facility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform light to moderate collision repairs
  • Disassemble vehicles for repair and blueprinting
  • Remove and install interior and exterior vehicle components
  • Repair damaged sheet metal and body panels
  • Replace quarter panels, doors, fenders, hoods, bumpers, and other body components
  • Perform bolt-on panel replacement
  • Perform MIG/MAG and spot welding when required
  • Perform minor to moderate structural repairs
  • Properly fit, align, and gap replacement panels
  • Complete vehicle reassembly after repairs
  • Follow repair plans and written estimates
  • Follow manufacturer/OEM repair procedures
  • Identify additional or hidden damage during the repair process
  • Communicate additional repair needs to the estimator or production manager
  • Verify repairs are completed properly before moving the vehicle to the next production stage
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Properly care for customer vehicles, tools, and shop equipment
  • Follow all shop safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous professional automotive collision repair experience required
  • B-Level / intermediate collision technician experience preferred
  • Ability to complete assigned repairs with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of modern vehicle construction and collision repair methods
  • Experience with panel replacement and sheet metal repair
  • Welding experience
  • Ability to properly disassemble and reassemble vehicles
  • Ability to read and understand repair estimates and repair plans
  • Ability to research and follow OEM repair procedures
  • Strong attention to fit, finish, and repair quality
  • Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance
  • Must work well as part of a production team
  • Must have basic personal automotive body repair tools
