Job description

Conducting historical tours of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, now home to Flagler College to the general public, and running Flagler's Legacy gift shop.

Student worker positions provide valuable on-campus employment opportunities that support departments while helping students develop professional skills. These roles are intended to enhance the student experience through meaningful work aligned with academic and career interests.

  • Current Flagler College student
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to speak to groups of 20+ people
  • Must be able to communicate their Flagler College experience
  • Highly creative and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be comfortable working with Apple technology
  • Must be able to access multi-story building with a staircase
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver boxes up to 40lbs
  • Must be able to stand for up to 5 hours
    • Open and close shop with minimum assistance
    • Conduct a 45-minute scripted historical tour of Flagler College
    • Performs general cashiering responsibilities accurately and efficiently, including actively selling tour tickets.
    • Greets and assists customers as they enter, peruse, and exit the store
    • Monitors inventory, stocks, and cleans where needed
    • Assists with general cleaning responsibilities and other duties as assigned
    • Assists with merchandising products and creating displays and signs
    • Assists with answering the phones and taking special orders
    • Provides additional assistance at Flagler's Legacy during special events and holidays
    • Other duties as assigned by Flagler's Legacy Managers
