Nature & Purpose of Position
The Honors College Office seeks a dynamic individual to assume responsibility for the daily operations of our office. This role involves a diverse range of administrative functions, including receptionist duties like copying, scanning, and indexing, as well as promptly addressing phone calls and emails from students, parents, faculty, and staff. This role also involves scheduling appointments for new and current student advising. In addition, the candidate will play a crucial role in our marketing, advertising, and communication initiatives, including posting and maintaining weekly announcements, updating social media channels, designing event flyers, managing the Honors College website, and editing a variety of Honors forms.
This position will also provide crucial support for event preparation for Honors functions, in addition to other general office tasks as required. A strong commitment to collaborative teamwork is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively and work seamlessly with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
Qualifications for this role include Honors College membership. Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in Adobe InDesign.
