What is a college student internship?

College student internships are short-term work experiences offered by companies and organizations to students who are currently enrolled in college or university. Internships provide students with practical exposure to their field of study, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. These positions can be paid or unpaid and often involve supervised work, networking opportunities, and the chance to develop professional skills. Internships can also help students clarify career interests and improve their job prospects after graduation.

You'll often collaborate with experienced professionals, gaining mentorship and hands-on experience while developing both technical and soft skills. The scope of your responsibilities will often grow as you demonstrate initiative and competence, giving you a chance to make a meaningful impact and build a strong foundation for future career opportunities.
