We have an opportunity for a SeniorSecurity Professional to join our Government Compliance Security Group. This opportunity encompasses two certified and designated government roles, Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) & Designated Official (DO) which both require certification by the Federal Government of Canada and are required for site critical registrations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • The ability to obtain a Federal Government of Canada Security Clearance minimum level of Secret
  • Canadian citizenship
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with all activities of the organization related to Federal Government contracts
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Industrial Security and, or Controlled Goods

This position is contingent on your Designated Official and Company Security Officer Certification

Responsibilities of a Sr Security Professional / Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) / Designated Official (DO):

AsSr Security Professional, you are responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining all site cleared employee required training
  • Performing internal audits as required
  • Working with Cyber Engineering to develop a System Security Plan (SSP) from entrance to exit of sensitive materials and hardware
  • Application of site security policy(s)
  • Performing security surveys identifying requirements to enable business growth
  • Being directly accessible to senior members of the organization and able to influence an organization's internal policies and procedures

As the ACSO and DO, you play a vital role in our organization's ability to meet the security requirements of Federal Government contracts and controlled goods. You are the official point of contact with Public Services and Procurement Canada's (PSPC) Contract Security Program (CSP) and Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

AsACSO, you are responsible for:

  • Complying with contract security requirements:Maintaining your organization security clearance,Screening your personnel, andSecuring information and assets
  • Working with Sales/Contracts at bid proposal through contract award.
  • Sponsoring subcontractors as required, requestingapproval for visits to secure sites
  • Working on sensitive contracts, conducting annual audits and inspections of these sites, and keeping records of these inspections
  • Securing your work site by ensuring protected and classified information and assets are properly safeguarded and handled
  • Assisting with maintaining all site registrations with the Contract Security Program
  • Acts as a backup to the Company Security Officer (CSO), sharing responsibilities for managing an organization's security requirements to bid onGovernment of Canada contracts.

AsDO, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring employees, officers, and directors are properly assessed and authorizedbeforethey can examine, possess, or transfer controlled goods.
  • Verifying personal information for temporary workers, international students and visitors for the purpose of applications for exemption
  • Maintaining all site registrations with the Controlled Goods Program
