Job description

Position Description: When driving a bus, responsible for the safe transportation of the passengers. Position Responsibilities: 49.00% - To safely drive college bus obeying all traffic laws. 13.00% - Keeps assigned bus clean. Washes and cleans bus thoroughly after each trip. 12.00% - Performs pre-trip bus inspection. 11.00% - Assists in the loading and unloading of baggage. 10.00% - Maintain safety of passengers following college policies. 5.00% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned. Expectations: 1. To have a good knowledge of all traffic laws. 2. To properly notify supervisor in case of mechanical failure or lateness. 3. To keep to assigned schedule. 4. To transport only authorized individuals. 5. To report all accidents and complete required reports. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience - Six months to two years of similar or related experience. Education - A high school education or GED. Other Skills - Have a valid CDL drivers license with required endorsements (passenger & air brakes). Complete required physical for Bus Drivers. Complete behind the wheel training. Have excellent driving record and be able to pass drug testing. Meet all state requirements for Bus Drivers. Physical Requirements: The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Job may require recurring lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stooping alternating with the lighter activities. Job requires minimal agility and dexterity. Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings. Wages/Other: The starting hourly rate for the position is $25.00. Check out the Benefits this position offers! Job Advertisement: Seeking applications for part-time Activity Bus Drivers. Once selected, bus drivers will be added to a pool of drivers and will be used as needed for bus trips. Qualifications: Valid CDL license with air brake and passenger endorsements, must be in good physical condition, ability to lift up to 70 lbs., and complete behind the wheel training. Applicants must be able to pass a motor vehicle report, pre-employment drug testing, background check and have an excellent driving record. Applicants must be able to work flexible work schedules.
