Collector 

Reports To: Community Manager

This dedication and expertise have earned YES recognition and respect in the field, underscoring our significant role in shaping the manufactured housing landscape.

Collector Position Overview:
As a Collector your primary responsibility is collecting payments, following up on delinquencies and coordinating payments for rent, utilities, and fees. This may involve cold calling, visiting residents, and using texts and emails to address overdue accounts. You will also manage office tasks such as preparing correspondence, answering phones, and greeting customers.


Collector Essential Functions:
•    Collect, process and document collection efforts/payments from residents and assist them with electronic payment set-up
•    Answer phones and greet customers in a courteous and professional manner
•    Prepare and hand deliver correspondence including collection notices as directed by management
•    Maintain office files and equipment, and provide administrative support where needed
•    Work with legal counselors and loan partners on collection efforts, loan modifications, and executing legal proceedings 
•    Provide backup support for the Sales and Leasing Agent or other community team members
•    Follow all Fair Housing and proper collection practices
•    Additional duties as assigned by management and are subject to change

Collector Required Skills:
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Must be self-motivated, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision
•    High level of attention to detail 
•    Strong conflict resolution and time management skills
•    Computer skills including Microsoft Office software products
•    Ability to work some evening and/or weekend hours

Collector Education and Experience:
•    A valid in-state driver’s license is required
•    High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
•    Previous collections experience is preferred
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry specific software products
