Position: Collection Specialist/Customer Service Location: Indianapolis, IN 46240 (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Type: Full-time, Permanent SALARY: 41.6K/Year Job Summary Responsible for managing delinquent accounts and recovering outstanding balances through customer communication and negotiated payment arrangements. Key Responsibilities Manage assigned portfolio of delinquent accounts Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication Negotiate payment plans and resolve outstanding balances Document all collection activities per compliance standards Provide professional customer service and handle disputes Use skip tracing tools to locate hard-to-reach customers Requirements Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally Good organizational and time management skills Basic computer proficiency Flexibility to work varying shifts Ability to obtain required collections license Preferred Qualifications High school diploma (some college preferred) 0–1 year experience in collections or customer service Familiarity with CRM systems and MS Office Knowledge of collection laws/regulations
