To thrive as a Collateral Inspector, you need strong attention to detail, understanding of property valuation or asset verification, and often a background in real estate, finance, or a related field. Familiarity with inspection software, digital photography, and sometimes certifications such as Certified Appraiser or Licensed Inspector are typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities help you coordinate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
