Job description

Our Heritage & Philosophy
For 41 years, our practice has been a pillar of clinical excellence and trusted care. In an era where eye care often feels transactional, we operate with a deeply rooted realization: patients don't choose us just for a script—they seek unique, highly individualized clinical care. Every day, our team clocks in understanding that our community counts on us to provide the absolute highest level of full-scope medical optometry. We take that responsibility seriously and want a doctor who shares that same sense of purpose.
The Collaborative Difference: Never Practice Alone
What sets our culture apart is our commitment to a collaborative doctor environment. Clinical excellence thrives when minds connect. Here, you will never practice in an isolated silo or feel like you are on an island with difficult cases. We prioritize a workplace where doctors actively consult, share insights on complex pathologies, and support one another’s clinical decision-making. Whether navigating a difficult glaucoma progression or a complex specialty lens fit, you have a team of peers right there with you.
Mentorship from Residency-Trained Leadership
The supervising doctors of the clinic are both residency-trained clinicians. We are deeply committed to fostering an environment of continuous clinical growth and high-level mentorship. This unique structure ensures that while you operate with the autonomy of a self-starter, you also have access to advanced clinical guidance, peer collaboration, and strong professional leadership to help you continually elevate your skills.
Prioritizing Leadership & Upward Mobility
We don’t just hire associates; we invest in the future leaders of our profession. We prioritize individuals who possess a strong leadership mindset and a desire to influence the clinic's growth and operational evolution. This position begins as a Part-Time role but features a direct, performance-based pathway to transition into a Full-Time Associate position with long-term leadership and track potential.
Compensation & Schedule
  • Competitive Daily Rate: Guaranteed $550 to $600 per day (dependent upon experience and clinical skill set).
  • Schedule: Part-time clinical hours within a standard Monday through Friday timeframe. Absolutely NO weekends required.
  • Growth Potential: Transparent opportunity to transition into a full-time role featuring a competitive production/revenue-share compensation model and leadership expansion based on practice integration.
Clinical Operational Support
Our providers are supported by a highly trained, dedicated team of technicians skilled in conducting comprehensive work-ups and preliminary testing. Furthermore, they utilize their basic knowledge of refraction to actively assist our doctors with over-refractions on specialty contact lens cases and handle contact lens troubleshooting. This collaborative structure ensures you can focus entirely on advanced medical decision-making and dedicated patient communication.
Clinical Scope & Requirements
Operating with clinical autonomy within our collaborative framework, you will manage an expansive, specialized scope of care. Successful candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD): Degree from an ACOE-accredited school of optometry with an active/eligible medical license in our state.
  • Clinical Competency: High skill level and complete comfort independently managing advanced ocular disease (glaucoma, macular degeneration, severe dry eye, diabetic retinopathy), specialty contact lenses (sclerals, hybrids, custom GP), and pediatric cases/myopia control (Ortho-K).
  • The Right Fit: A self-starter dedicated to continuous personal, clinical, and leadership growth who thrives in a collaborative team ecosystem and respects our 41-year legacy of community trust.
  • Efficiency: Comfortable managing a patient pace of 2 to 3 patients per hour with full collaborative technician support.
