Job description

WESTMORELAND BUILDERS, LLC — NOW HIRING
Business Development Coordinator
Remote  •  Dallas–Fort Worth Preferred
Full-time    •    Remote    •    DFW preferred    •    Restaurant & retail focus    •    Open to all experience levels

Westmoreland Builders, LLC is a commercial construction firm with deep experience delivering retail, restaurant, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use projects from the ground up and through tenant improvement. We’re growing our pipeline and looking for a driven Business Development Coordinator to help us find, pursue, and win new client relationships, and keep Westmoreland’s brand visible and active across every channel we show up in.

About the Role
This is a front-line business development role focused on identifying prospective clients, building relationships, and generating qualified opportunities for our project teams. You’ll research target markets, reach out across multiple channels, manage our social media presence, and serve as the first impression of Westmoreland Builders to potential clients, which means you’ll need to know our story, our capabilities, and our portfolio inside and out. The role also carries a light administrative component that keeps the firm credentialed, compliant, and ready to pursue work in any jurisdiction.

What You’ll Do
  • Research and identify prospective clients in target sectors, with a primary focus on national and regional restaurant and retail brands, as well as healthcare, education, government, and industrial clients.
  • Build and maintain a prospect database: tracking contacts, outreach history, follow-up status, and opportunity stage.
  • Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings, initiating conversations that lead to qualified introductions for our leadership team.
  • Articulate Westmoreland Builders’ history, qualifications, project experience, and differentiators clearly and compellingly to prospective clients.
  • Monitor industry news, permit filings, real estate activity, and market signals to surface new development opportunities before they hit the street.
  • Manage Westmoreland Builders’ social media presence, developing and scheduling content across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others), highlighting completed projects, team milestones, and company news to build brand awareness and attract potential clients.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and monitor social channels for relevant conversations, industry trends, and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal leadership to align outreach strategy and social content with active project capacity and target markets.
  • Own and maintain the company’s AIA A305 Contractor Qualification Statement, keeping project history, bonding capacity, personnel, and financial data current and ready for rapid deployment in pursuits and prequalifications.
  • Lead the coordination of contractor license renewals across all active and target jurisdictions, track deadlines, managing submission requirements, and liaising with licensing authorities to keep Westmoreland Builders in good standing.
  • Support proposal and presentation preparation — compiling company qualifications, project profiles, and background materials.
  • Represent Westmoreland Builders at industry events, trade associations, and networking functions in the DFW area and beyond.

How You’ll Reach Prospects
Outreach channels include: phone calls, targeted email campaigns, LinkedIn, social media platforms, and in-person meetings with prospective clients and industry contacts.

What You Bring
  • Construction industry knowledge, you understand how commercial construction works, who the decision-makers are, and how to speak the language of owners, developers, brokers, and brand representatives.
  • Confidence and poise in outbound outreach, you’re comfortable making cold calls, sending thoughtful emails, and following up persistently without being pushy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, your outreach is clear, professional, and tailored to the recipient.
  • Social media fluency, you know how to build an audience, craft content that reflects a brand’s voice, and turn engagement into real business relationships. Experience managing professional or company accounts is a plus.
  • Research skills, you know how to find the right contact at the right organization and understand how to use public records, LinkedIn, industry directories, and market intelligence tools.
  • Organizational discipline, you can manage multiple moving pieces (outreach cadence, content calendar, license renewal deadlines, qualification document updates) without letting anything slip.
  • Self-motivation, this is a remote role, and you’ll be managing your own schedule and pipeline without day-to-day supervision.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and proposal platforms is a plus, experience with HubSpot specifically is a bonus, though not required. We’re happy to train the right person.
  • Experience levels are open, what matters most is your ability to represent our firm credibly and generate real conversations with the right people.

Desired credential (not required): Certified Construction Marketing Professional (CCMP) or equivalent professional certification in construction marketing, business development, or a related discipline. We value candidates who take their professional development seriously — certification is a plus, not a prerequisite.

Why Westmoreland Builders
  • A firm with a proven project history across restaurant, retail, healthcare, education, industrial, and government sectors, giving you a strong story to tell and compelling content to share.
  • Direct access to leadership, your work feeds directly into the firm’s growth strategy, and your wins are visible.
  • A remote-first role with flexibility, paired with the energy of a growing DFW-based firm.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Exempt salary — competitive DOE
  • Per diem for all out-of-town travel
  • Medical, dental, vision & life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief introduction outlining your construction industry background, business development experience, and any social media work you’re proud of.
