Job description

Machine Operator – Food Production (Cold Environment)

Location: Malvern, PA

Schedule: Full-time (flexibility required for shifts)

About the Role

We are hiring a Machine Operator to support high-volume food production operations in a fast-paced, cold environment. This role is critical to keeping production lines running efficiently while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

You’ll be responsible for operating equipment, monitoring production flow, and working closely with quality and operations teams to ensure product integrity and output targets are met.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment
  • Set the pace of the production line and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency
  • Perform routine checks including labeling, coding, and product verification
  • Track production metrics such as downtime, fill rates, and throughput
  • Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks or mechanical issues in real time
  • Coordinate with quality (FSQA) and production teams to resolve any deviations
  • Assist with changeovers and ensure proper verification procedures are followed
  • Support sanitation and cleaning processes (CIP) in compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting
  • Communicate effectively with team leads, supervisors, and maintenance

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Machine operating experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in food production or regulated environments is a plus
  • Ability to work in a cold, wet environment for extended periods
  • Comfortable working on your feet for the full shift
  • Able to lift 45+ lbs and push/pull materials as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Team-oriented with solid communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
