A Machine Operator is responsible for operating the flow wrapping machinery, which is used to package products in a continuous motion. The job typically involves the following duties:
  • Setting up and adjusting the flow wrapper machine to ensure proper packaging of products.
  • Monitoring the machine during operation to detect any malfunctions or deviations from standard performance.
  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to maintain its efficiency and longevity.
  • Loading materials onto the machine and ensuring a continuous supply for uninterrupted operation.
  • Inspecting the quality of the packaged products and making adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards.
  • Recording production data, such as quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced.
  • Collaborating with other team members to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.

Operators may also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, managing the flow of materials, and ensuring that safety protocols are followed.
