Position Summary 
To-Go is a vital part of our operation that oversee all takeout and gelato bar needs.  Our high volume in carry out orders means that anyone in this role must be able to multi-task effectively, while also maintaining a bright, positive attitude. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Always be happy, friendly and smiling 
  • Be professional and respectful to everyone
  • Ensure consistent and friendly guest service is provided
  • Responsible for accurate cash intake
  • Serve Gelato and Maintain Gelato counter – Let MOD know when flavors change, or inventory is low 
  • Serve Slices and Maintain Cleanliness and Stocking of Slice Merchandiser during appropriate hours
  • Retail selling of Merchandise and To-go Alcohol (canned beer)
  • Ensure we are attempting to up-sell during phone calls or face to face interactions with guests (Offering salad, wings, dessert)
  • Quote accurate wait times for pick up & delivery, especially during peak time.
  • Communicate any issues that arise to the MOD
  • Follow FIFO. All tea, gelato, beverage and paper products are in proper first in, first out rotation cycle—this ensures we are serving our guest the freshest products possible.
  • Consistently check dates on Coke products. 
  • Fold boxes. keep all sizes restocked (Day & Night shifts)
  • Make Salads and run food as time permits
  • Perform slow time/ cleaning tasks. Self-manage, don’t wait to be asked 
  • Stay busy!  If you can’t find something to do, ask the MOD for suggestions
    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • California Food Handler Card (Required prior to first shift)
  • Responsible Beverage Services (RBS) Certification (Required prior to orientation/hire date) if over 18 years of age
  • Basic mathematical skills; ability to make change
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multi-task oriented
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
