What We Look For In a Psychology Tutor

  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with psychology curricula at introductory and advanced levels and common challenges such as memorizing neuroscience terminology, distinguishing psychological perspectives, and applying ethical principles to research scenarios. Adapts instruction using case studies, experiment demonstrations, and mnemonic devices to support students from high school AP through college-level psychology courses and graduate school preparation.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
