Description

Summary

The AMFT/ ASW has the following primary roles: Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral, within the context of marriage and family systems. Apply psychotherapeutic and family systems theories and techniques in the delivery of services to individuals, couples, and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed nervous and mental disorders.


*** The AMFT/ ASW is a grant funded position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize solution-focused therapy strategies to provide mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children.
  • Perform intake and needs assessments for individuals, significant others, and family members through testing, interviews, observations, and conversation sessions.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient.
  • Document patient records accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility and licensing standards.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings on a weekly basis and engage with community organizations.

Requirements

Education/Experience
Master's degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral science. Certification in one or more treatment modalities. Clinical experience (at least three years preferred, post-licensure experience not required).


Licenses and Certifications
CA AMFT/ ASW License.


Language Skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, required.
