As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. This role requires expertise in multiple programming languages and a strong focus on software lifecycle execution, including CI/CD and automated testing. You will integrate AI/ML components to enhance system intelligence while applying sound technical judgment to design maintainable, secure systems. Partnering across functions, you will drive innovation, mentor peers, and ensure high-quality outcomes aligned with business objectives and platform standards.

Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support Walmart’s technology ecosystem, including data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. We ensure scalable, secure, and reliable systems that deliver seamless experiences across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers. As part of Walmart Global Tech’s Site Reliability Engineering organization, we lead the development of advanced AI-driven platforms that autonomously monitor and resolve issues, transforming reliability engineering. This team drives innovation and operational excellence to support millions of customers and associates worldwide through cutting-edge technology solutions.
  What you'll do:

• Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and system objectives.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI/ML components and leverage GenAI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency.
• Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply best practices for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
• Monitor application performance, support defect management, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Mentor peers, promote continuous improvement, and contribute to engineering excellence and innovation.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, React, Rust, Go, and C++.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
• Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through collaborative, iterative development and continuous integration.
• Demonstrated skills in AI/ML integration and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
• Solid understanding of platform design, product strategy, and technical solution design aligned with business objectives.
• Commitment to engineering excellence, technical ownership, and continuous improvement within cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
