Code Ninjas is the nation's fastest-growing kids coding franchise where they build the video games they love. Our mission is to empower kids with the skills they need to thrive in the digital world while fostering creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for learning. In our center, kids ages 5-14 years old learn to interact with technology in a fun, non-intimidating way. Kids have a blast and can't wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new STEM skills including coding, logic, and critical thinking, as they progress from white to black belt. What are we looking for?
We are looking a positive, trustworthy, and motivated self-starter to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Camp Director / Assistant Center Director is the backbone of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversee the day-to-day success of our center. Are you experienced in working with children and parents? Are you a passionate, ambitious, dependable, business-minded leader? Do you enjoy taking responsibility for a project and seeing it through to success? This could be the role for you.
Internships/Intern Projects can be accommodated for Small Business Operations, Digital Marketing, and IT.
Preliminary work hours will most likely be: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1PM to 9PM, plus Saturday 9AM to 5PM. Hourly to start and work time can be flexible for 30-40 hours per week. Pay rate based on experience with possible incentives aligned to center growth, and could transition to salary and bonus in year two.
Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee daily operations of the center on Tuesdays - Saturdays
  • Effectively communicate about, and promptly follow up on, all camp or center related inquiries in-person, over email, or on socials
  • Coordinate local marketing efforts within budget, including charitable donations
  • Coordinate digital marketing efforts within budget, including regular posts on our behalf
  • Follow up on leads, schedule tours, and close deals
  • Provide center tours while maintaining awareness of students currently in the center
  • Work with parents to define children's learning needs
  • Supervise, engage, and interact with children and families in the center
  • Ensure that parents understand how their child is learning and progressing
  • Keeps accurate records of activities, attendance, and calendars
  • Recruit, organize, and coordinate staff
  • Engage and oversee sensei to ensure team needs are met
  • Ensure the center is a fun and safe learning environment for our students
  • Assist and/or plan, organize, promote, and conduct special activities as needed during work hours
  • Uphold corporate standards with respect to center cleanliness & operational standards
  • Ability to think on the fly and be perceptive to center dynamics
  • Report daily/weekly/monthly to the executive team on center, student, and personal progress
  • Address emergency/accident issues regarding patrons and facilities.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information in an effective manner.
  • Represent the program in a positive light to the participants, employees, and community
  • Responsible for following all prescribed safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain regular and prompt attendance, and reports to work free from the effects of drugs/controlled substances and/or alcohol, and free from impairment due to prescription drugs
  • Ability to travel to and attend a training session at corporate headquarters near Atlanta, Georgia. Expenses will be reimbursed.

Qualifications:
  • Enthusiasm for working with kids REQUIRED
  • MUST be at least 21 years of age and MUST be able to pass a background check
  • 2-3 years working in a camp, after school, recreation or school setting with children ages 5 and up is REQUIRED
  • Currently enrolled or have graduated from College or University, Degree preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of business operations and team leadership a plus
  • Must be fun to work with and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and deadline oriented. We can't miss dates or overlook customers
  • Working knowledge of basic computer practices and procedures, as well as familiarity with technology, Microsoft suite, social media, and office equipment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to understand and communicate written/oral forms and instructions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective and courteous relationships with participants, staff, vendors, parents, and providers
  • Ability to invest time and energy into understanding the implementation of our core programs
  • Ability to work independently and to submit and maintain records efficiently, accurately and prepare clear and concise reports
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Ability to document and develop clear internal and external operational procedures
  • CPR certification and First Aid knowledge preferred but not required

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
