Coding Scratch information

What is coding scratch?

Coding Scratch refers to programming with Scratch, a visual programming language developed by MIT for beginners, especially children. Scratch uses a drag-and-drop interface where users snap together code blocks to create interactive stories, games, and animations. It helps learners understand basic programming concepts without having to write traditional code, making it fun and accessible. Scratch is used in schools and coding clubs worldwide as an introduction to computer science.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Scratch coding instructor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Scratch Coding Instructor, you need a solid understanding of block-based programming concepts, experience with the Scratch platform, and often a background in education or computer science. Familiarity with educational tools like Scratch, Google Classroom, and basic classroom management software is typically required. Strong communication, patience, and creativity help instructors engage students and adapt lessons to varying skill levels. These skills and qualifications are vital for making coding accessible and enjoyable, fostering problem-solving, and supporting student learning outcomes.

What are some common challenges faced by Scratch coding instructors, and how can they be addressed?

Scratch coding instructors often encounter challenges such as engaging students with varying levels of experience, managing classroom dynamics, and explaining complex programming concepts in simple terms. To address these, instructors can incorporate interactive projects, provide differentiated instruction, and use real-world examples to make lessons relatable. Collaborating with other educators and staying updated with new Scratch features also helps create a supportive and effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Build systems where new ad formats are generated automatically by AI agents.

  • Own the creative rendering and presentation layer across various surfaces such as CTV, DOOH, display, rich media, native, video, and interactive surfaces.

  • Design agentic workflows that ingest a creative or spec and emit a production-ready fluid format automatically.

Job description

ResponsiveAds™ is an advanced self-serve creative ad technology suite for producing fully-fluid responsive ads that outperform standard ad benchmarks by 20x. Our patent-protected runtime engine adapts a single creative tag to any slot, screen, or environment without re-trafficking. We are looking for a Software Engineer to own the creative rendering and presentation layer of the platform, where ad formats are developed and generated automatically by AI agents. You will define how formats are structured, rendered, validated, and delivered across every surface we support, and build the agentic pipelines that produce them without hand-coding each one.

What you will do
  • Build the systems where new ad formats are generated automatically by AI agents, not authored one at a time by hand
  • Own the creative rendering ( everything is Responsive) and presentation layer across CTV, DOOH, display, rich media, native, video, and interactive surfaces
  • Define how ads are structured, rendered, validated, and delivered across publisher and programmatic environments
  • Design agentic workflows that ingest a creative or spec and emit a production-ready fluid format automatically
  • Build tooling and guardrails so agent-generated formats render reliably, perform efficiently, and stay policy compliant
  • Drive 0 to 1 development through rapid prototyping, experimentation, and iterative deployment
  • Contribute to technical strategy and help shape the roadmap for the ad formats platform
  • Maintain high rigor through strong testing, documentation, observability, and operational best practices
Skills & Tools
  • Strong across the full stack; frontend rendering systems and backend infrastructure
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript; you build what you design, hand coding and vibe coding
  • Experience building or orchestrating AI agent workflows and LLM-driven pipelines in real production use
  • Familiarity with AI creative tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Runway, Firefly, Nano Banana) in a production workflow
  • REST API fundamentals; comfortable working across data flow between systems
  • HTML5 ad production, rich-media, Prebid, or DCO experience is a significant plus
  • Highly innovative, startup-ready, great communicator, customer-first

Requirements

  • MUST have 7+ years building high-scale consumer products, creative systems, ads systems, or platform infrastructure
  • MUST have shipped complex user-facing systems across multiple surfaces end-to-end
  • MUST have hands-on experience with AI agents, code generation, or automated creative pipelines
  • Track record of owning design-to-delivery end-to-end in a startup or lean team
  • Thrives in 0 to 1 environments where architecture and experience must be defined from scratch
