POSITION TITLE: FULL DAY CLASSROOM ASSISTANT
LOCATION: LINCOLN
POSTING DATE: March 10, 2026
CLOSING DATE: For best consideration, please apply by March 17, 2026. However, position will be open until filled.
HOURS: 32.5 hours per week. Monday through Friday. Average 6.5 hours per day.
DAYS: . Nine month employment August through May/June. Minimum of 183 days per year.
SALARY SCHEDULE: Rate of pay $13.14 per hour
START DATE: ASAP
JOB SUMMARY: The Classroom Assistant primary assignment is to assist with setting up centers and daily activities; works with children individually and group settings; monitors bathroom, meal, outdoor/gross motor times, nd transitions between periods; help provide a safe, clean and orderly environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED
HEALTH QUALIFICATIONS: An initial physical exam is required, unless employee can provide documentation of exam completed within prior 12 months.
BENEFIT: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees Retirement are available to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position.
