Join our Team: Shipping Planner
Watertown, SD

Join our team at Terex Utilities and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Shipping Planner to contribute to the Terex team in Watertown, SD.

As a Shipping Planner, you will assist in properly planning the system for material delivery to best support the shiploose and body kit assemblies that are shipped to customer, body vendors and install. Review material availability, escalate shortages, and coordinate the execution of these assemblies and related back orders.

What You'll Do

  • Promote and maintain a safe and organized workplace
  • Review Clear To Build data to help coordinate planned machine builds on the lines
  • Releasing/rescheduling/completing related work orders ship/body kit assemblies
  • Coordinate material availability to execute the kits for shipping, install, ship early, or parts sent to body vendors
  • Assist in properly planning item attributes data in TMS
  • Establish material delivery planning and backflush locations TMS
  • E-validation of kits picked and sent over by CLI
  • Manage bypass reports and order parts from CLI
  • Analyzes material flow problems, determines causes, put corrective actions in place - proper station coding, 2 bin set up, mistake-proof the order/distribution processes, etc.
  • Requisitioning materials when applicable
  • Open back orders when appropriate
  • Maintain/Audit/Improve Standard Work
  • Train and cross train other employees in materials processes

What You'll Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years material inventory experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, computer and math)
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills and computer systems aptitude
  • Understand and support Company policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Enthusiasm for working "hands on" in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset and problem solving skills

The compensation range for this position is $21-$30 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
