Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior AI Software Development & Technology Support Specialist to support enterprise AI platforms, infrastructure, developer enablement, and governance initiatives within a federal environment. This role combines AI technology administration, infrastructure support, developer assistance, AI coding tools, user enablement, documentation, and governance. The ideal candidate can bridge technical infrastructure and software development while helping organizations safely and effectively adopt AI technologies.

Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite โ€“ Woodlawn, MD
Interview: In-person interview required

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise AI software, platforms, infrastructure, and licensing.
  • Procure, track, configure, and manage licenses for AI tools and development software.
  • Support servers, storage, networks, and other infrastructure supporting AI workloads.
  • Monitor system availability, performance, security, backups, patching, and upgrades.
  • Provide hands-on support for AI-assisted software development across multiple programming languages and development environments.
  • Support and enable developers using AI coding assistants such as Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Gemini Code Assist.
  • Help developers integrate AI capabilities into applications and optimize AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Provide user support, training, and guidance for enterprise AI tools.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, FAQs, architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, and training materials.
  • Support AI governance frameworks, policies, roles, responsibilities, and operational procedures.
  • Track AI adoption, usage, activity, and development metrics and prepare periodic reports.
  • Support compliance, security, and data-management requirements for enterprise AI platforms.
  • Stay current with emerging AI development tools, frameworks, and enterprise adoption practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience administering AI/ML infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and/or cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience supporting AI software development and AI coding assistants.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, software licensing, configuration management, and technology operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, software, and end-user environments.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, SOPs, training materials, and operational procedures.
  • Understanding of technology governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal or other government agencies.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP and government security/compliance requirements.
  • Experience implementing or supporting commercial AI/COTS products in government environments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML operational pipelines and lifecycle management.
  • Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
  • ITIL, Security+, Cloud+, or other relevant certifications.
