Job description

Position: Network Voice engineer

Location: Jersey City NJ

Job Type: Contract

Required Skills:

  • L3 production support for Cisco Unified Communications:
    • CUCM (call control, dial plan, device/user provisioning, SIP trunks)
    • CUC (voicemail, mailbox/user issues, call routing to voicemail)
    • UCCX (contact center call flows, agent/login issues, basic script/call flow troubleshooting)
  • Troubleshoot call routing issues, DTMF problems, codec negotiation, one-way audio, intermittent call drops, PSTN reachability, and endpoint/device registration issues.
  • Perform operational changes: dial plan updates, route patterns, partitions/CSS, translation patterns, device pools, voicemail configurations (as applicable).
  • Drive Incident/Problem/Change lifecycle and provide RCA for major incidents.
  • Collaborate with Vendor for end-to-end call flow troubleshooting.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with CUCM, CUC, and UCCX support.
  • Solid understanding of SIP/RTP, voice routing/dial plans, and troubleshooting using logs/traces.
