Job description

CNC Lathe and/or Mill Set-up/Programmer

Position Type: Full-time In-Person

Shift Available: Day (2); Night (2)

Salary Based on Experience

Schedule:4x10s (Mon.-Thurs.)


The CNC Lathe/Mill Set-Up Programmer is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes and mills to manufacture precision fastener components in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements. This position supports efficient production by developing and optimizing CNC programs, performing machine set-ups, troubleshooting machining issues, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.


CNC Programmer Job Duties:

  • CNC Set-Up/Machinist duties
  • 3-5 years of experience with CNC programming and operating a CNC machine.
  • Experience programming in SurfCam, SolidCam, MasterCam, GibbsCAM or Partmaker.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work.
  • Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts that are being machined.
  • Must have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines.
  • Other Requirements: Functional and Technical Skills; Tooling; Lift up to 50lbs; stand for long periods of time.
