Optometrist - Coconut Creek, FL
A well-established eye care practice is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join its team in Coconut Creek, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for an optometrist looking to provide comprehensive eye care in a patient-focused clinical environment with strong practice support.
The ideal candidate is committed to quality patient care, building long-term patient relationships, and providing thorough education regarding eye health and treatment options.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
  • Review patients' medical and ocular histories.
  • Diagnose and manage vision conditions and ocular diseases.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and appropriate medications.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventative care, and treatment options.
  • Evaluate patients for ocular and systemic conditions and make appropriate referrals when needed.
  • Provide pre- and postoperative eye care when applicable.
  • Recommend appropriate vision correction solutions in collaboration with the clinical and optical team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with patients.
  • Provide a positive and professional patient experience.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active Florida Optometry license or eligibility for Florida licensure.
  • Successful completion of applicable optometric board examinations.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional clinical environment.
