Detroit Experience Studio is an immersive program where students are taught the fundamental aspects of working in a creative agency. To make each cohort successful, the program relies on volunteers to support students both directly and indirectly. If you are interested in offering your time and talents to an upcoming cohort, please apply today!
Volunteer Needs:
  • Youth Educator (lead and teach a class in your subject matter expertise area)
  • Rotating Mentor (support a group of DES students throughout the cohort)
  • Class Support (assist DES staff to manage and support student and classroom needs)
  • Event Support (prep and/or day-of support for DES events)
Volunteer Requirements:
  • Available to volunteer for the required time period
  • Able to attend in-person unless remote support is an option
  • Complete additional background checks
  • Complete necessary training to work with and support students
We are looking for volunteers for the Fall 2025 Cohort!
  • The Fall 2025 Cohort runs October 21, 2025 - January 22, 2026
  • Applications must be submitted by September 26, 2025
  • Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6 pm
  • Volunteers are responsible for transportation to and from Hunt Street Station in Detroit
  • Meals will be provided for all in-class volunteers
