Job Summary:
ClifyX is seeking an AS/400 Developer to work with Paccar in Renton, WA. The role involves the maintenance and development of applications on iSeries, primarily using COBOL and RPG, while also supporting existing system implementations and participating in small strategic projects.

β€’ This position is responsible for the maintenance and development of applications on iSeriers including involvement with major 3rd party vendor support.
β€’ The maintenance and development activity will predominantly use COBOL and RPG on iSeries.
β€’ A successful candidate will be highly self-directed and have experience and knowledge of software design, build, and testing methodologies.
β€’ Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to research, analyze, troubleshoot, and solve software problems.
β€’ Willingness to support existing system implementations is a must.
β€’ The applicant will work on small and strategic projects among other support and development assignments.
β€’ A successful candidate will have aggressive learning goals and may support business partners using 24x7 applications that require on-call responsibilities.

β€’ Strong experience with software design patterns and automated unit testing.
β€’ Experience in other programming languages with a strong willingness to learn PACCAR development tools.
β€’ Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
β€’ Excellent problem-solving skills and highly self-motivated and flexible.
β€’ Strong knowledge of software development methodologies.
β€’ Ability to work effectively in a team environment with no supervision, and lead teams in design and technology projects.
β€’ Strong application development experience and ability to work with users to troubleshoot reported issues.
β€’ Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
β€’ Ability and willingness to work weekends and evenings to support on-call responsibilities as needed is required.
