A Coax Splicing job involves cutting, connecting, and repairing coaxial cables used for telecommunications, internet, and cable TV services. Technicians ensure proper signal transmission by splicing cables, testing connections, and troubleshooting issues. The job requires knowledge of cable types, splicing techniques, and specialized equipment. Coax splicers often work outdoors or in confined spaces and must follow safety protocols.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in coax splicing?

What are the most common challenges faced by coax splicing technicians in the field?

Coax Splicing technicians often encounter challenges such as working in varying weather conditions, troubleshooting complex signal issues, and safely accessing aerial or underground cable systems. The role may require travel between sites and adapting to different types of infrastructure, which can add physical and logistical demands.
