Job description

(Rayne, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Blaster/Painter for a day shift position from 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. The Blaster/Painter will be responsible for surface preparation, coating application, and finishing of metal components and industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing and service environment. Pay: $20–$25/hour, based on experience.


Essential Duties:

• Perform sandblasting and surface preparation on metal parts and equipment

• Apply coatings including primer, epoxy, and industrial paint systems

• Inspect surfaces for cleanliness and proper adhesion

• Mix and apply coatings according to manufacturer specifications

• Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper operation

• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Work collaboratively with fabrication and production teams


Requirements/Skills:

• 2+ years of industrial painting or blasting experience

• Experience with airless spray systems and coating applications

• Knowledge of surface preparation standards; SSPC/NACE preferred

• Ability to read and follow work instructions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work in a shop and/or outdoor environment

• Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments preferred

• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus


Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and noise

• Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirators and protective gear
