Job Position: 1st or 2nd Shift Janitorial/Sanitation
Location: Early Branch, SC 29916
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr or Based on Experience
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) or 2nd Shift (1:30pm - 10:00pm) Mon - Fri (May be asked to work weekends)
Coastal Employment is currently seeking dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Technicians for a valued manufacturing client. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while supporting daily facility operations.
Position Summary
The Janitorial Technician is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining assigned areas throughout the facility. This role helps ensure a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors by performing routine cleaning, inspections, and general housekeeping duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain assigned areas throughout the facility.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and workspaces.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, lunch areas, and common spaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Clean counters, sinks, mirrors, windows, and other surfaces.
  • Sanitize high-touch areas, including door handles, light switches, handrails, and shared equipment.
  • Dust hard-to-reach areas, ceiling vents, light fixtures, and other elevated surfaces.
  • Refill restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure cleaning standards are maintained.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and other special assignments as needed.
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies while following all company safety procedures.
  • Maintain an organized janitorial storage area and report supply needs to management.
Qualifications
  • Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Physical Requirements
Candidates should be able to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach frequently.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Operate standard cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, brooms, and floor cleaning tools.
  • Work safely around cleaning chemicals while following all safety procedures.
  • Perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding cleaning needs and facility concerns.
