Job description

The Prairie School is seeking qualified and enthusiastic coaches and assistant coaches for a variety of sports in our Middle & Upper School athletic programs for Fall, Winter and Spring. Experience preferred for Middle School coaches. Experience required for Upper School coaches. The appointee will directly contribute to all areas of coaching.

Head Coach appointees will work directly with the Athletic Director.  Assistant Coach appointees will work directly with the Head Coach and Athletic Director to ensure a professional and consistent approach to the Prairie's athletic philosophy, from fifth grade through varsity competition. All coaches play a key role in mentoring and educating each athlete on the team.

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organized, and have a proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Successful applicants will be motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team.

A proven track record in coaching or working for another youth athletic program would be an advantage, as would qualifications in sports management.
